Old Man
Old man
Just you and I can stand and understand this,
Why me? Simply because you taught me how.
Remember that dark cold night,
When it was just you and I,
Whispering in the black smoky steam but no fire,
Coming from that lake, that you old man said:
Great heroes all by many felt in and disappeared to never be seen.
Lot I learned from that night.
That even great to the best warriors fall.
That it’s not always by power or intelligence.
We have the power to fall,
So as we have the power to stand up again.
See why, yes you old man.
See why you.
See why I so much deeply boldly love listening to your old stories.
Some are sad to cry for,
Some are funny to inch my stomach.
But old man, they are all worth it.
They teach life,
They are motive inspiration.
