Old Flame

OLD FLAME She blossoms like roses in the sun Ripening wheat in a flourishing field Marvelous like a marvel picture The comforting blanket that shielded me, From the cold wind of discontent, clothed In my rose she is the aroma that ooze The melody in my ballad is she Once ignited the flames of your heart To sit by that fire for years to come The cold winds of life often asphyxiate it, That flame that once danced in her eyes Leaving behind only smoldering embers It scarcely resemble the exciting bond once shared That made our soft conscience lifts the moon Beyond the reach of gods out of it sphere But taking us back to the beginning Where strangers holds no oath of allegiance.
