Old Cold Soul

Lord take from me this old cold soul,
My heart is heavy and my eyes are dark,
Where did my hate get it’s start?
The hounds are closing in.
Their howls are taking me,
Lightning flashing, thunder crashing.

Lord take from me this old hot hate,
My anger is alive and my fists are clinched.
Why are you looking at me?
I must get you before you get me,
There is no peace for me,
My soul is aching and my heart is breaking.

Come mighty Son warm this old cold soul,
Create a spark in this cold hard heart,
Is there life in me?
This cannot go on,
New winds are stirring.
Dawn is calling, my guard is falling.

Lord take from me this heartfelt thanks,
Born again but not from the womb.
Is this really me?
Finally set free.
Liberating righteous power,
Sweet, sweet feeling, wonderful healing.

Old King Cole was the merry old soul who the whole show had stole that was taken by a troll.
