Old Castle Walls In France

Beside the old castle walls of France treading over the stone marbled stairs I gleamed as if there was an angel behind the walls There were stories untold that drew their hands before now long before me As I drew my hand along these lines now They might have had lived here these ghosts of those beautiful country girls with their angelic smiles and cherry red cheeks They must have lived a handsome life Now they must have gone and passed on One I wish had left a princess behind for me hiding behind one of these walls waiting
