Oklahoma Proud

I know of a place where the rivers run deep And the hearts of many find a prairie to sleep Here I pray for the wind's harmonious voice To which the golden wheat dances without a choice From happiness the spirits of our ancestors cry For the abundant life and a hawk in the sky The tribes of man, diversity great Joined their hearts in the Sooner state Centuries later, our bonds remain Oklahoma proud, forever and again

My grandmother was from Oklahoma and my Dad was born there. Unfortunately I've never been. I enjoyed reading your poem. Nice work. Love, Kim
