Okefenokee Social
One evening I went to a social event
In the swamp they call Okefenoke.
When I tell what I saw you will probably say
That I'm lying, or making a joke.
I saw a fox in black tie, with a patch on one eye.
He danced with a bear in pink tights.
A formal dressed gator was leading the band,
In a tune that was lilting and light.
I saw a coon in a hat, a tux on a rat,
And a frog in a gray, pinstriped suit.
But the strangest of all of the things that I saw
Was a snake wearing cowboy boots.
