Oh To Be

Oh to be as a star!
My lissome form shimmering.
Set in the firmament
By some celestial being.

Oh to be as a bird!
To let the breeze flow over the pinion
Of my mighty wings
And men can not besmirch my name.

Oh to be as a traveler!
Each new home a simple sojourn.
To have come from the throes
Of my past tents and mansions.

Oh but this joyous reverie has come to an end
And we must return to our blissful repose.

Nicely written, Carrie, I always hate when my reverie ends because I have to return to reality. John
