Oh Sarah - Will I Find My True Love

Upon the second story balcony
Around an old mosaic table top
Sits Sarah alone with her thoughts
Bright blues, yellows, greens and reds
Sparkle with splendor in the first rays of morn
Igniting endless inspiration

The morning dew glistens upon the open field
Another new day is here
Will I find my true love today
Is he really out there
Will I find my true love today
Will he ever appear
Will I find my true love today
That is the least of my fears

With a simple silver cross dangling
From her delicate olive-toned fingers
She raises her misty eyes skyward and prays
She prays for the sick, the needy, those suffering
And gives thanks for all the gifts bestowed her
The warm sun, the mysterious moon, and the stars above
The fauna, the floral and even her little girls smile

Trust she says, for there is a plan
Even flightless birds sing a happy tune
For beauty is not what we have but
In the little things we see, feel, and cherish
Will she find her true love today
In spirit she already has

I enjoyed the flow of her thought processes--her wants, to the needs of others, back to herself--some gratitude, some longing...very real. Great write.

Ahh!! Enjoyed reading your work..Good to see your first poem again..Thanks for the visit to my page..You can cook a peach pie or cobbler very easily..It only takes a stick of butter or margarine(butter is better), 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup milk plus the fresh, frozen or canned peaches..Sara

Well ontop of the usual beautiful poem, this is filled with not only love, but the wisdom of love, and the fear of never finding it, great write!

This poem describes the feeling many have gone through during a time of loneliness. The longing for a love. In the end, we realize we are never satisfied, we already have more than enough. I have felt this way before. I enjoyed the read Tim.
