Oh, Rose Bud


Oh, lovely Rose bud in luminous red,
With the flirtatious nudge of breeze,
When sweet aroma enters our nostrils, 
As your velvety petals unfold one by one,
Who can ignore your mesmerizing presence!

I fail to see the beauty of a rose - most especially at today's prices - which pales in comparison to the fragrance of a lilac or a carnation, but my mother-in-law, wife, daughter, and granddaughter totally disagreed! Good poem, though! Aloha!
