Oh No, No, Not Again - Ifl

Yet another defenseless Black man
                      Screaming to no avail 
                  For his mother as his life is...
                                    Slowly, 
                                Shamefully, 

                  Dehumanizingly snuffed out 
 By police officers, this time, Black police officers.
Black on black crime at it's most brutal, and why? 
                Why? For heaven's sake, why?
  Heart-wrenching it is watching a human being,

                 Clothed in my chocolate skin,
         Stripped of his humanity, of his dignity.
                            Why? For what?
 I felt like driving my clenched fist through a wall.
  I felt like pulling strands of my hair out, except,

                      There are none to pull.
       Watching a deadly black on black crime
            Televised nationally - utter outrage!
                  What is this world coming to?
                     Rest in peace, Tyre Nichols.

Merv Hold February 26, 2023 at 4:07 PM I am no expert, but reading the news makes me feel that there are people that have to become sheep and follow their peers to be accepted. Black against black is still a racist act, because those cop's chocolate skins have become very milky, if that makes sense. None of it makes sense! I share your anger Edward Ibeh. Speaks Volumes February 24, 2023 at 10:44 AM BLM. A scary write Edward, I fear so greatly for my two beautiful grandsons, in the USA, who are 11 and 12 now, and already the elder is tall and looks older than his age. As older teenagers they will wear nice clothes and most likely drive nice cars. I pray that doesn't make them a target for racial hatred or put them under suspicion of theft or wrong doing. Reading stories like yours and news reports saddens me so greatly. A moving write Edward. When will ethnicity, or color of skin, not be a reason for hate ? Oh and congratulations. What pleasure they take in this…the same with the knee on the neck. Who do they hire in these jobs..the ruthless? Do they need to be strong and courageous…yes, however NOT without morals.
