Arlene Smith Poet Verse

Oh No

Oh! No!
There's a mosquito in my ear,
And I can't hear!
Anything but that god awful sound.
Like fingernails on a chalkboard.
If I had a teeny tiny sword
I'd give him what for!
I whopped myself in the eye!
No time to cry.
Too busy flailing my arms.
He's going to keep me up all night!
I put up a fight.
With nothing to show for it.
Except this mouse under my eye.
A mouse!!!..... Oh! No!
