Oh Moon - My Moon
Oh Moon - My Moon
Softly illuminating the midnight sky
On silvery beams you serenely drift
Tranquillity in the nighttime found
Beholden to you for the solace you gift
Trillions of secrets cast, confidence saved
Just a trifle touched, I smiled as you blushed
Beneath a canopy of twinkling stars
As lovers dared to bare, inhibitions crushed
Oh, silvery deity of this conscious night
My innermost thoughts in you I confide
Your constant presence is my comfort and joy
Oh Moon, My Moon, you are my comrade and guide
A custodian for lovers and the Muse’s aid
Protect my journey through your comforting shade
