Off White - Love Story

The melt trickles off to the creek bed
pure white has up and disappeared
green grasses grow into the forefront
leading to where tenderness' been bared

Hot flames flicker with the innocence
covers uncovered in a big ball of trust
red lips painted in sweet cherry wine
hearts are left lying without wanderlust

Into the spring we stretch out our reach
blooming alongside all nature's glory
revealing our skin, soaking in sunshine
writing new chapters in life's love story

Hi Tim, I came to read this again, and on second read, I find this way deeper that I did the first time around! I love how you write in a way that is both romantic, but always caries deeper undertones! I am not always good at giving comments, but felt this poem, and it just came to me to say it.

Oh, I loved that line about revealing our skin, soaking in sunshine. And the last line seals it so romantically.

i hope this doesnt sound frantic....but tim, you are a hopeless romantic....which, i feel, is the best way for a man to be....for woman defines our destiny....and we are here to protect and cherish her at all costs....for woman is the gateway to the future, without her, all is lost....great write as always tim....
