Of the Many Things I Want To Be

*OF THE MANY THINGS I WANT TO BE*

I would have loved to be your sun
But of what use is brightness all day
And I leave you lost in darkness at night
I could also be your moon by night
But I won't be there with you all night
Maybe I can be your rain shower
Washing off the dust off your feet
But still leave you drenched and cold all night
If I be the gentle breeze on your skin
Won't I turn a storm when I'm angry
Blow your roof off and pull the pillars down

If I be your captain on the sea
Taking you through the beautiful blue sea as we sail
Would I stop the wave from sinking our ship
If I be your your pilot in the sky
Flying you at the roof of the world
Giving you window to see the clouds
Would I save you when turbulence strike my craft
If I be your mirror on the wall
Would I be there when someone calls you ugly
Won't I get shattered when I fall
If I be your house made of colourful marbles
Would I guarantee a place to call a home

Many things I want to be for you
But I fear I may never be enough for you
Maybe I just need be me
Loving you in my own unique way
Maybe I should just be me
Never right and ever flexible
Of the many things I want to be
Maybe I should just be me
The me that can live with the you in you
Maybe I should just be me
The me that loves you for who you are
