Of Many Names and Wonders
Of Many Names and Wonders
Who do you think hung the stars in the sky
Who gave the fowls of the air wings to fly
Who tells the sun when to shine at dawn
Who hangs the moon when the sun is gone
With the waters so deep who draws the lines
With fruits so sweet who waters the vines
Who sculpted each mountain to give it shape
Covered with green so beautifully draped
Who filled the sky with magnificent blue
Mixed with colors of His perfect hue
Who created the rivers to flow one way
Who grows flowers with His sun ray
Who spoke to the dark let there be light
As the darkness became ever so bright
Who spoke to the dust you will live
As breath to man life He give
Who whispered to Noah, build an ark
To call the world from the dark
Who gave rain forty days, forty nights
Who shut the door and sealed it tight
Who parted the Red Sea at Moses command
Who parted the waters to travel dry land
Who supplied the water that sprung from the rock
Or the manna from heaven to feed His own flock
In the fire who was the fourth man walking
Who closed the mouths of lions starving
Who directed the stone that took the giant down
Who commanded the whale, "Spit up Jonah now"
Who brought Job through it all
When Satan stated, he shall fall
Who turned the water into wine
Who healed the sick and cured the blind
Who raised Lazarus from the dead
Who with two fish and five loaves, thousands fed
Who walked upon the raging sea
Who bled and died for you and me
Who defeated death, hell and the grave
Who broke the bondage of sin enslaved
Who rolled the stone from the borrowed tomb
Who was missing from the empty room
Who was found on the road to Emmaus
Preaching the word to familiar faces
Who was the man five hundred watched ascend
As He spoke, I will come again
He is called Creator of all things
His authority above forever rings
Sin and sickness flee at his command
He is the greatest of all the land
He rules from His throne in Heaven above
He rules with judgment, mercy and love
He is the Alpha and Omega with many names
The Father, the Son, the Holy Ghost, He is all the same
