Of Infinity

A hint, a clue from me, to you A sign, a cue we exist, what's new Part of this universe, we'll always be even when dead, our atoms roam free Be sure, be aware we're here, everywhere Death comes, death scares this view, most share So many beliefs, in our human mind we'll rise again, but not of this time Your doubt, your tears mortality, draws near Don't dread, don't fear we carry on, you hear There is no end, we simply change in my reality, some find so strange Why evil, why bad human form, can go mad First happy, then sad I'm sorry, your glad Am I apostate, am I trying to deceive to speak my mind, of what I perceive Our falls, our bruises all chance, no ruses Who wins, who loses on earth, fate chooses And at some point, I'll crawl once again I'm just not certain to where, or when This or That, Vol 8 Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Edward Ibeh 11/10/21 Rhyme form (Of Infinity)

A thought-provoking verse. If the universe continues to expand at its current rate, I wonder if it would ever come to a standstill or even reverse its course. Everything on Earth has always existed and will continue to survive in its status quo. When we expire, our electrons, ions, and other substances will generate at some future point. Good luck with your contest entry.

Thank you Lasaad, good to see you back on the soup, I hope all is well, the beauty of writing or pondering infinity, is the infinite possibilities that it allows, on the quantum or massive scale, All conjecture of course, Milky Way is set to collide with the Andromeda galaxy in the near cosmic future, our electrons could even enter a black hole in the process adding another possibility of traversing time and different infinities, who knows where that could lead, cheers David

Thought provoking verse David, where did it start and will it ever end.?, they say the universe is still expanding, I often wonder when it gets to its limit will it go into reverse. Great entry for the contest, good luck. Tom

Thank you Tom, your certainly onto another possibility the "Big Crunch" back to where it started then repeat the process, into another cycle perhaps an infinite cycle, more to, Déjà vu than we think, I really do ponder the infinite possibility's infinity can offer, lol cheers David

This excellent write is uncanny, David. I’ve been working on a poem that I just can’t get right. But the upshot is that every atom of everything and everyone on Earth has always existed and always will. When we die, our atoms, our minerals etc will, sooner or later be re-used. It is meant to end with the notion that atoms of us and of those we have lost may well meet again… in the same blade of grass. I think that is weirdly close to your message. Great minds huh? Terry

Thanks Terry, if the universe is infinite we're in luck, it means everything that can happen will happen an infinite amount of times, when we die, infinite amounts of time will pass by instantaneously til we recombobulate again, I know sounds crazy, but that's Infinity, with your creativity and imagination, you could well write a masterpiece on this subject, and you have Infinity on your side, great minds, or mad genius, cheers David
