Of God and Men

He created earth and heaven
and established the laws even
And then, ha! He rested
His time fully vested...
As an afterthought He made Men!

~A Limerick contest of Robert Haigh

~Mark Twain quote: "Man was made at the end
of the week's work when God was tired."

That's what we have been told--but, who knows for sure, really! I liked Mark Twain's twist of humor in this and I believe we just have to take everything in life with a pinch of salt! Appreciate your observations.

Absolutely! We just believe what we are told--who's there to prove one way or the other! I see some truth in Mark Twain's words or why else would the world be in so much trouble?
