Of a Land Far Away
Sitting here on the
Lower East Side
wondering what will happen
in a far away election
A magazine I just imbibed
says the outcome is uncertain
Little I can do about it
except go to the polls
which as an American is my right
Despite those who do not like democracy
Many of us still
cling to notions
of a happier world in the future
which - G-d willing
we will live to see
