My painting of Odin.
He hanged for nine days and nine nights,
To seek out wisdom it would seem,
Without a struggle without a fight,
The runes came to him in a dream.
Wounded by his own spear he hung,
Not partaking in food or drink from a horn,
Dripping his blood made the runes one by one,
It was enough to make every god mourn.
As one rune led into another,
Sacrificing himself to himself.
It was documented by a Nordic brother,
The time Odin gained rune wealth.
When he hung in the great Ash tree,
His knowledge is ours, his knowledge now free.
