High as a Georgia pine they say I think that I shall never see From little acorns a mighty oak grows So goes my tree knowledge

Thanks, Harry. With the rules for the contest, this was the best I could do. I don't have a real creative, poetic mind but I do enjoy writing.

Funny tree entry, Curtis. I wrote one called The Tempting Tree..check it out...I really like reading all these expressions from different regions of our country. I forgot about this one you have written about. A great poem starter for sure!...You like working in your yard YET you still don't know the names of the trees or bushes you dote over....ha ha. Curtis, here in Texas, we can't get high off them tree... but, we do have lots of squirrels... good luck in the contest.. if it's for the contest.. soup mail..pd
