Ode To My Cat Stormy

Ode to my cat Stormy
She is my alarm clock
Waking me earl
When she hears the plough
To clear the deep snow

She jumps on my bed
Looks out the window
To see what is there
Then jumps to the floor
To lay on my be

Stormy makes me laugh 
She makes me smile 
She cheers me up
When I am upset
Stormy is vocal

Stormy announces 
Everywhere she goes
She meowed loudly
She was in the basement
She was in darkness

I followed her sound
She was telling me 
She was in darkness
I went down the stairs
I turned on the lights

I went downstairs
I saw her pawing
For a favourite toy
That was out of reach
To reach for her toy

Bj Legros Kelley May 5, 2026 at 7:24 AM Your kitty Stormy sounds adorable. I too have a darling kitty, Milo, he's vocal too! He likes to have a lamp on at night. I find it funny to read your poem about your cat telling you she was in darkness. Our area lost electric power this early morn before the sun had come up and my cat was upset! We turned on a flashlight and left it in the family room for him till the sun came up. I just found that a funny coincidence to just read this as we just went through this today! She lets me know when she is hungry. Also l some5imes she tells me to go to bed. She sleeps with me Stormy and I are very close. She enjoys to watch the squirrels and the birds.
