Ode To Juan

You make me feel insecure
Looking at me with your condescending eyes
Yeah you look good, have a job, got a ride and a house
Nah I aint your blue collar, white collar chick
I walk alone to a beat that only few hear
You think you are so smart
Using your extensive vocabulary to shackle me
Yeah you look good, have a job, got a ride and a house
I aint gonna lie I don’t have it all together but I’m front and center
Nah I’m not an engineer, studying to be a chemist
But what flows through these veins is newness
I’m a leader, Queen, renegade looking for my King
I thought you could be the one to forge the world with
Experiencing the mysteries, pleasures that only few see
But you look down on me cause I’m not your nanny, manager, banker
Yeah you look good, have a job, got a ride and a house
But I’m the STAR whose light will never diminish
Cause what flows through me was sent from heaven
Yeah you look good, have a job, got a ride and a house
