well said and well written....apathy is at the core of so much ill will these days. Perfectly said.

Danny, this is funny...the way you describe the atmosphere seems quite appropriate. I ask myself why so much apathy. I was a late teen in college during the Viet Nam War. There were protests galore. The phrase often said was, "Hell no we won't go!" Unfortunately, when we moved to a professional army, all that stopped because (it turns out) the protests were based on a selfish desire of those worried about themselves and not the greater good. That's just my take, and I'm still demonstrating.
