Ode To a Friend

I was a gloomy person
Always morose and sad
My days seemed dark and lonely
My nights always bad
Thoughts in my mind
Were all about destruction and death
Never saw a reason to smile
Never felt the warmth in the hearth

That’s when I met somebody
Someone like you, my friend
Who changed the way I lived life
And reversed the trend
Who gave me reasons to smile
To laugh and dance with joy
I stopped seeing life like a battle
As in the lore of Troy

So now I am happy and smiling
Living life to its fullest
Hearing the music in nature
And singing it with zest
I know I will live life
And be happy till its end
And it could never be this way
Without you, my friend.

Brilliant piece of poem and lovely turning from darkness towards light. Keep up the smile and have confidence in good things to come. The moment your heart will be blank without the fear of darkness you will find light all around you with promises of a bright full tomorrow. Best wishes and love for a Merry Christmas, May the New Year Bring for You Love, Peace, Health, Luck and Prosperity And lots of imagination and colors To Your Poetry in the Year 2010 Ravindra
