Best Thank Youhappy Poems
I was a gloomy person
Always morose and sad
My days seemed dark and lonely
My nights always bad
Thoughts in my mind
Were all about destruction and death
Never saw a reason to smile
Never felt the warmth in the hearth
That’s when I met somebody
Someone like you, my friend
Who changed the way I lived life
And reversed the trend
Who gave me reasons to smile
To laugh and dance with joy
I stopped seeing life like a battle
As in the lore of Troy
So now I am happy and smiling
Living life to its fullest
Hearing the music in nature
And singing it with zest
I know I will live life
And be happy till its end
And it could never be this way
Without you, my friend.
I know that I'm loved,
I have a great family,
So why do I feel crushed?
It's beyond my sanity.
I don't know what is wrong with me,
I want the craziness to leave my head,
I'm the comedian to fill everyone with glee,
I have to fix it before I'm dead.
I stand on the stage of life,
No jokes just stress and fright,
I have only a little strife,
But I wanna cry most every night.
I am happy with my sis and children,
I don't want them to feel blamed,
My problems are all in my head and it is hurting,
It is me who should be ashamed.
Bi polar, schizophrenia, or just insanity,
Please bear with me I'm trying to get help,
I couldn't ask for a better life even in fantasy,
Without your love and support I don't know what I'd be dealt.
I love you please don't give up on me,
I'll try harder and strive to show my happy face,
I cannot live without you don't you see,
No one can ever take your place.
The quicksand that's sucking me under,
I'm holding out my hand to you,
My sickness does my mind plunder,
I'm on my knees trying to keep everything in view.
I'm blessed to have such support,
I'll work really hard to let myself resurface,
Thank you for caring enough to stay my safe port,
I promise to retake my rightful place.
Our family I will repair,
I will strive to fix this up,
I will cause no more despair,
From this day forward I'll drink from a full cup.
Dedicated to Aleera
The Wenatchee River Festival
Held the third weekend of June
The four of us attended
To hear a Bluegrass tune
Friday the seventeenth,
This year’s opening day
The day I turned seventy five
A time to celebrate and play
I have a special lawn chair
It seems to fit me right
Sitting in the sixth row
The stage was in good sight
A group was performing
Bluegrass at its best
When I had to get up and go
A “must” I will confess
As I was returning
My name was being paged
So I yelled “Here I am”
To the group up the stage
They said “we’ve been told
Your Seventy-Five today”
“We wish you Happy Birthday”
Then they began to play
The Happy Birthday Song
Was sung just for me
The audience even sang along
I was speechless as can be
How could this happen?
My head began to spin
It must have been Chuck Egner
He proved it with his grin
My wife, daughter, grand-daughter
We didn’t know what to say
But thanks for the birthday present
You gave to me that day
A very HAPPY EASTER, fellow poets,
to every one of you.
Thank you for your great support,
in what I love to do.
I consider all of you my friends,
although we've never met.
Kudos to every one of you,
for my success, I'm in your debt.
A VERY HAPPY EASTER TO YOU AND YOURS!
Happy thanks for happy people doing happy work to live;
With my glass of wine saluting, happy thanks to them I give.
Cheery thanks to cheery thinkers who produce the most they can,
Building up the world around them for the majesty of man;
Gleeful thanks for gleeful cities with their shops of sparkling light,
And my thanks for slender towers winking thoughtfully through the night;
Hearty thanks for heavy tables full of turkies, stuffing, pies,
And for looks of proudest loving in a mother's smiling eyes;
Thanks in earnest for the farmers who have beautified the earth
With their measured rows of science flowing musically in worth;
Thanks of praise for true philosophers, whose principles lead on
All the men whose mighty industry bestows a brighter dawn.
Happy thanks for happy people doing happy work top live;
With my flowintg glass saluting, hapy thanks to them I give.
