Words so true, but the real race we run is all of us at at the starting line, running side by side WITH each other; BUT against each other all the same. The bottom line is that it should be a fair "race"; and the winner takes all. Thanks Maureen, and thanks to the PoetrySoup readers that have no clue what I'm talking about, because it proves "ignorance IS bliss". Blessed be. Amen

Our fate can be as wide, or as narrow, as our minds and hearts allow - beautifully put, Mo~

It is OK to fail providing you stay wholly inside your track! Woe unto those who stray! Thus saith the Lord of Lines! Enjoyed! Aloha! Rico

Very perceptive here. The handicap is greater each day here in the States, everything now filtered through the prism of race... Precisely the opposite of what Dr. King and the civil rights movement was all about. Excellent presentation in the senryu form, methinks. Bravo! :) gw

Thank you my friend. “Race”, a white human construct, while “Tribalism” is considered savage. We landed in the Americas and were just considered another tribe. sigh. Well, that didn’t turn out well ;), xomo
