October's Gift
September ushers in first autumn days-
then lets October take full season's reign
in changing scenery from drab, mundane-
to awesome views of colorful displays.
The end of former season's faded green,
soon turns to brilliant orange-red and gold.
Each valley, field, and mountain will unfold
its long-awaited bold, breathtaking scene.
October sets the stage for the year's end,
as hearts are fired by autumn's full embrace
while dreaming of how holidays will grace
dear families and friends- more love extend.
Without delay, October comes each year
as planned- for nature to bring forth this gift,
which starts the final quarter that will shift-
with blessings- to the next new-year frontier.
