October, Wear Your Colors Fair

October, wear your colors fair,
And come and play with me,
I think I'll be the wind today,
And dance with every tree.

The Autumn sky may dismal be,
But You bring warmth and cheer to me.

Thanks so much, Linda, for your encouraging words. I have been rather busy with other things, but I'm beginning to read books of poetry. Hopefully I will learn more of the craft from them. Love, Arlene

I loved your very creative use of imagination and playfulness in this poem. Nature is a great playmate, and not just for children! A 7 and wanted to give you a 10! I'm saving this one to revisit often. And thanks for visiting one of my poems. ~~Darlene

Wow! What an encouraging comment! Thanks so much for your input! I recall how much I enjoyed, "My Chocolate Mess". I re-read it from time to time and enjoy it as much as the first time!
