October Leaves

See all the colors of the spectrum, 
painted upon the falling leaves.
Watch them as they spin and dance, 
while floating upon October’s breeze.

Perhaps they dream that they are flying, 
as they drift to the ground below.
Or do they know that they are dying, 
soon to be lost beneath winter’s snow…
