October Falls
October rides upon the wind
mixed between the leaves and rains
with every color in its seasonal spin
to fall and blow before winter gains.
Mixed between the leaves and rains
a forest distant on the farest horizon
to fall and blow before the winter gains
revealing the palette of nature's dying, rising.
As the flowers and the summer roses die in mid air
revealing the palette of nature's crying,
crunch the leaves and walk the fields laid bare
autumn falls as every season does, yet still surviving.
November and December creep in with chilly flair
but the seasonal change fits just like gloves,
chilled by breeze and clouded chains unspared
as seasons come and go, labors of God's love.
