October
Rainy, foggy misty mornings, sleeping in, the cool damp days, what does it remind you of? Is it the empty dirt roads that wind around the oat fields with wild flowers that sway with the wind?
As one walks to their local corner store to buy some necessity’s for the week, hearing the birds serenade your journey, why be in such a hurry?
The winds are picking up, as I turn the hood of my fall sweater around my neck, I welcome the fall breeze, after all it’s October with all its glory.
I see other town folk headed to the town diner for their morning cup of Joe, shoppers coming to check out the deals at the goodwill.
Thus moment is so blisssful, as if time stood still, no worries, no stress, as we all know Jesus is in control, we pick up a handful of colorful leaves, toss them into the air along with our worries, bringing out the kids in all of us.
Listen to the leaves blow in the swift winds, my tears are swelling up in my throat, happy tears are they, because I’m home in Wadena, and it’s my favorite season of October…
