October is my special time of year, with still a hint of summer, come the Fall- as orange, red, and golden leaves appear. While some days can be warm, with sunny cheer, the next one may turn cold with a rain squall- October is my special time of year. The change of scenery is never drear when fading greens become a colored shawl, as orange, red, and golden leaves appear. So often in the evening, bonfires near fill up the air with scents that help recall- October is my special time of year. And as they fall, the vivid leaves adhere to velvet grass beneath, and lay asprawl, as orange, red, and golden leaves appear. Once green upon the trees that held them dear in months before, when held as summer's thrall, October is my special time of year- as orange, red, and golden leaves appear. What a wonderfully penned ode to fall. I loved your vision and how it flowed in the villanelle. A sure winner!
