I liked these end rhymes, impeccably penned Gershon.

That happens to a lot of people. My daughters in-laws were flooded out of their home. They ended up moving to a condo. (YUCH) Good job here. God Bless, JB

I'm lucky that I don't live close to Lake Michigan here in Chicago. Over the last six to seven years (only) there are long stretches without any sand left; in some stretches the waves are already splashing into houses and apartments. Seven years ago, these areas had tons of sandy beach area. Used to go down there all the time. Frightening. :) Scared Wabbit and Elmer Fudd

When I was a kid I dreamt that fish were swimming around the room. I never liked that.

And now that you are a 'kid with more experience,' have the fished stopped swimming around the room?! Or is the room no longer full of water? Or are your dreams happier? Or perhaps you like fish swimming around the room now? Or have you -- I hope not -- stopped dreaming altogether? Or have you ever considered telling me to S.T.F.U.** already?! lol. ~ Just goin' fishin' there, Kim. :) Andy and Opie **The 'F' is for 'freckle...'

It is sad to watch the news and see an area after a flood or when a hurricane hits. I feel so for the loss of life and property some people have been in a place a lifetime and it is all gone. I enjoyed reading your work. Sara

It truly is both eye-opening and sad, a tragedy for those who've lived in the hurricanes epicenter for decades... Thank you for your kind words, Sara! Warmest wishes, Gershon

Yeah, that fish certainly got an eyeful to ponder there... So nice to see your avatar again, M.L. Thanks for the visit and the fun comment. Happiness and Joy, Gershon

A thought provoking satire on the effects of global warming. May we come to our senses before it's too late-we only have one planet earth. :=)

Yes, indeed! Maybe some of those astro-nuts searching for 'the nearby exoplanet that might possibly present conditions ripe for intelligent life' (Whew!) would contribute some of their time and money to saving the planet that we do have. Thank you for an uncommonly sensible comment, Evelyn. Earth without Dearth, Gershon
