Ocean Blood

multiple universes, i'm a paradox
the minds of the villagers thrive in paradise
fecund ground grows poisonous weeds
we, deeper than skin, are divergent breeds

the sun is bright, no black holes, but i
see the sky as an abyss, i see this
little pixel game with red sand and an all-seeing eye
floating heads, stars like crosses, spaceships

i've never known the alphabet, but i can read what i can see
i can fathom the hieroglyphs, five thousand fathoms deep
the surface displays the false colors that
the current's never seen
you must enter every planet's sea
to see our ocean bleed
