Obsolete Professions - To Delete

Of all the professions ever been in the world Some are rightly regarded today as absurd The Western Union man just can't compete with high-tech texts and twitters and tweets 'Typewriter Repairmen' now obsolete 'Abacus Salesmen,' long rest their feet 'Butter Churners,' consigned to back burners Bowling lane 'pin-spotters,' no longer wage-earners But the profession I miss the most by far is the Texaco Gas Jockey with his big bright red star

I grew up in the age when there were only gas jockeys. They would fill your tank, wash your widows, check tire air pressure and oil levels. It also provided a paycheck for a family. Plus, they were pleasant people.)))))) Credit cards are fine. But for the elderly or handicapped are inhuman at gas stations! We forget we are humans!! The internet is far from human. Social media like Twitter is rude. And clowns post insults there! In reality, they need a broken nose. Panagiota xxx

GW, so many professions tech has displaced and left us with only memories and apprehension as to what is next!! I often miss the old days!! Good one!!

I miss the old days too, when a mailman job was better than just about anything out there, benefit-wise. lol.
