Obsolete Antique

Get off of our roads!
You're obsolete, an antique
Go back to Nineteen-fifty

You're blocking traffic!
What's that? Ha ha. You said that
-- You're a symbol of gridlock?

Kids now days don't know how to tell time because they rely on digital clocks. I am making sure my grandchildren know how to read a clock and write in cursive. Why schools have taken away teaching cursive is unimaginable. There are clock lovers all over the world who will hopefully save the clock from extinction. I am one of those people. I enjoyed the humor in your poem Gershon. Congrats on your podium win! xxoo

Connie, I think that clocks will hang on somehow, if only because their faces and their bodies -- think grandfather clocks -- are so much more fascinating than their digital counterparts. Just as print books haven't been killed by digital books, and just as radio wasn't killed by TV, so too will old-fashioned clocks prevail... I think. Thanks for the great comment! Best wishes, gw
