Oblivious

I look around me
no one in this world see the way I see.
I live my life without worries
I live carefree
Oblivious to the world
I live in a fantasy
where no one can touch me.
All around me is moving
I stand still and dream.
Dream of a life that is unreal
or so it may seem.
Society is so unforgiving
some might say for this reason
life is not worth living.
Who cares what society believes of me
I am free to live my fantasy.
Life is so much better
when you don't realize 
how unfair this world can be.
Mothers just trying to provide and dying on the streets.
What kind of world do we live in today
This world is evil
and must change somehow someway.
So until that day
I can live my fantasy
and believe that this world is better 
than what my eyes see.

I too live a care free life. i don't mean one with money either. i get by or go without so i dont have to be accounted for or obligated to any cause or anyone, unless i feel like it. i can only promise today, not tomorrow or any other day. i don't like to make a promise i know i might not keep! my word is all i have and means everything to me literally! thanks...keep writing and sharing. kim* Login to Reply Deeana Valencia Date: 10/31/2012 11:15:00 PM I totally agree. I live in that way also. I dont have much money either. I am a single mom of 3, and I have had to grow up with my children. I have been learning slowly how to be responsible. We seem to have alot in common. Message me anytime if you ever wanna talk. Its nice to know someone out there understands you.
