Notes About The Poem

Oasis, Oblivion, Odyssey Words Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Constance La France

Dedicated to Greg Jinkins that passed on December 28, 2023

Oasis

"How sweet tasting those past memories were, never to forget every footstep taken holding your hand." quote by poet A hazy image my eyes imagined, like pebble thrown into a calm pool , chimed. Numb, I relive a tingling elapsed time On a desert oasis I saw you As butterflies draped in rainbow silk bind Ripples, moving away to see clear dream. Graceful breeze's waft, spirals round, melting Hazy, vitalizing safe endearing Moment, upon golden waves of sunrise. A love wandering in a far-off time.

A poem of high standard. Deserves niche in classical poetry. Subtle emotions have been given powerfully verbal expression. Beautiful imagery lingers in the thoughts. Brilliant work, Eve. Congratulations!
