O, How I Miss-
look at the stars,
look at how they shine for you…
and
everything you do,
for you were the one who spread hope-
learning to feel again,
starving to cope-
my best friend,
once taken,
now free-
o, how i miss the you in me
choosing death over love,
an answer found not on a silent night
but
revealed in a raven’s rising flight-
i flew as high as an ivory dove,
for you were my light,
you were the one who faded from sight
when push came to shove;
hues with shades meant to undo-
o, my sweet sister,
never knew you craved blue-
o, how i miss the yellow in you
constellations fear what you became,
they danced when you were born
and
wept when you died-
what we felt was not the same,
now i sit on the balcony and mourn,
thinking of your suicide
look at the stars,
look how they shine not for me;
wearing withered scars,
being who i wish not to be,
rescue me from death’s debris-
i lay on your worn blanket,
and ask the gods why-
for you are the magic
holding the stars up in the sky...
o, how i miss that sparkle in your eye
