O Christ Child Devine
One enchanted night came sweet Angel singing
Proclaiming peace was descending down to earth
On wings of love a baby boy was winging
Souls filled with mirth rejoiced the holy birth
The Saviour arrived to a bright new dawning
Faith and hope appeared as Mary’s boy was born
Bowed down on knees in praise that Christmas morning
Christ Child Divine, unto you our souls are sworn
O Christ, Holy Christ, O Christ Child Divine
Son of God your beacon of light gleams brightly
Beaming through our heart, spirit, soul and mind
We will serve you all we can uprightly
As did Wise Men following a star, as they’d been assigned
Kings of orient made that journey too
And shepherds who’d been on watch all night through
They all came bearing gifts as an offering
To a babe in a manger, Christ Child Devine
A babe in a manger, O Christ Child Devine.
