O Captian

O Captain my Captain you're steering my ship
From waves and reefs that would sink it
A course you've charted for its path
Where treasures abound along the way

The sailing is not always smooth
O Captain my Captain you're steering my ship
It's much better though then I could do
You always find a way to get me through

Of troubles that have come my way
As long as on your course I stay
O Captain my Captain you're steering my ship
You give me peace when I trust you

Each storm will end if given time
As my trust in you increases too
The skies are fair for sailing now
O Captain my Captain you're steering my ship
