I stand by my window and what do I see
The beautiful view of the sea

Out in the mist boats pass along
The fact I live in the city makes it feel all wrong

Coming down the hill on my way home
I see the same sea looking back at me

Taking a walk theres a bridge standing majestically tall
A sight to see right in front of me
It overlooks the city, framing it all

Out over the distance the buildings stand like a distant land
A world beyond what i can truly comprehend

The brilliancy of lights
All the people in sight
And
The breathtaking views of the parks at night

This is what i'll miss as I move away
So much so It makes me want to stay
For
This is New York City on an average day.
