Nowt But a Little Kid
Wide awake, trying to get some sleep
Remember memories that are yours to keep
Overwhelm yourself with the memories of your past
The path you used to run down as a lad
The grass you used to play on as a kid
The memories of the joyful things you did
Close your eyes and picture the massive sky
Before you had to realise the reasons why
The games you used to play in the sun
The laughter and all the hours of fun
Smell the summer air, see the glowing night
The skateboards, bikes, dares and playful fights
Camping out with friends all night
Feel the sand upon your feet
Feel the sea-don't go too deep!
When you're feeling pretty low
Close your eyes and think of times when you were not so old
Remember all those joyful things you did
When you were nowt but a little kid.
