It is a new day
I need to embrace it
And say to God
Once more
Thanks for keeping me
Alive today
Know I am going to bow
My head
And I am going to pray
I have so much to be
Thankful for
I got a roof over my head
I got plenty of food to eat
Father you are never going to
See me starve
The rain is here again
