Now Look

Now look what he's done Yes, please have a look He's just having fun Just don’t throw the book It took time to cook That yarn that he spun: Know how long that took? Now look what he's done There’s no smoking gun He's a babbling brook He’s silly, this one Yes, please have a look I laughed till I shook ’Twas witty, that pun When he sets the hook He's just having fun He's bold, and he stuns, But he's not a crook There’s no need to shun Just don’t throw the book In his own little nook, He’s second to none He’ll change your outlook For he's just begun Now look… ---------- no narcissism here, lol

This is like reading Dr. Seuss again "There’s no smoking gun He's a babbling brook He’s silly, this one Yes, please have a look" I love this!

I thought it would be interesting for the tail in verse 6 to rhyme with the a/b scheme, and it kind of took on a life of its own. When it was finished, it looked sort of narcissistic, although that really wasn't the intention! Maybe it is a commentary on an undertone in publishing poetry on the soup, lol.
