Now I Cannot Remember My Name

I hid my blame and I hid my shame,
Didn’t want anyone to even know my name,
I was a poor kid,
Never had enough,
So I put on this disguise,
Now I can’t get it off.

Poignant and to me nothing light about it. But a case study of human nature that tells the tale of most of us once upon a time.
