November's Teachings
November brings the end of Autumn, but its own inspiring beginning
A flurry of wildlife are around to watch, all preparing for winter
The bare trees expose distant views of mountains and open skies
Brilliant colors of sunrises and sunsets, days of beginnings and endings
There is a calmness in the cool air, as it prepares for snowflakes to arrive
It is a time of unity, while Thanksgiving brings us together in gratitude
Still, tints of color remain on the trees and ground, so we do not forget
The brook is singing loudly, before ice grips the edges with shining crystals
It offers a time to reflect on good memories the previous seasons created
It's a time of hope with opportunity for all new adventures ahead to explore
A month of its own, just as each of us our own person, can bring this to others
Our season to begin, to reveal, to express and show the special things
Among the differences that exist, in our lively, purposeful existence!
