Notes About The Poem

NOVEMBER DAYS

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Like leaves falling from the trees, November days fall. Sun rises and sets in fast-forward mode, is if it’s in some hurry to reach winter. Although the sun is still bright and vibrant, it is cooler even on cloudless days. Soon the trees’ vibrant colors will be nothing but a fading memory.
the scent of damp earth bare oak limbs etch twilight sky~ geese write farewell notes frost paints windowpanes sunrise melts night's silver veil~ birch bones hold last leaves
Contemplation transitions from broad reflections to the delicate, tactile distinctions within this meticulously crafted poem. With kindest regards, dear  Sara,
Dear Sara, I liked the shift into the haiku-like structures for they created a great sense of quiet, contemplative focus, moving from broad observation to those sharp, sensory details like the "birch bones" and the "geese write farewell notes." It's a beautifully observed poem. Autumn Blessings, Dear Sara, Daniel
