Hi Andrea, yes I know the contest you are referring to, and sadly I was not able to enter that one, but hopefully I will enter some others this weekend ~~

This reads so easily and creates a calming effect....it could be used as an evening prayer, a hope for the peace of sleeping's dreams.

Dreaming is such a beautiful thing, I haven't slept through the night since my baby was born, You poem makes me long for my eyes to close and snowflakes to fall on my face. It is lovely sweetie, best of luck in the tanka contest. Hugs :)

Casarah, thanks for your kind words, yes, I can imagine sleep is difficult with a little one - all I have are 2 meowing cats which can get pretty distracting at times ~~
