Nothing Much Happened
Nothing much happened
Nothing much happened in the north
Just that some few lips were chopped
Ears cut and owners forced to eat them
Fingers, hands and sometimes arms
Chopped with the victims put under bomb point
But nothing much really happened
Just a few hundreds or maybe thousand kids abducted
Fully armed and forced to fight with salaries subtracted
And no serious fighting, nothing much was really conducted
Just to slain a few hundreds in Atiak,
And a bit more elsewhere in attacks
But seriously, it wasn’t anything to cause heart attacks
It’s just that some parents were cooked in pots
And their helpless off springs forced to eat them hot
A few minds hither and thither with a few limbs flying
A few returnees telling bloody stories but probably lying
For we all know that nothing much happened
Only that some huts were burnt and their owners roasted
After all, all their property had already been looted
Just as the students in schools had been uprooted
But ooh, they were even given camps of residence
And generally, just some tragic hysteria
Coz no much blood was really shed
Just a couple million barrels on count of the dead
The rebels didn’t really do anything much.
And neither did the government
Because nothing much happened!
